ANTWERP LABORATORY EXPANDS ISO 17025 ACCREDITATION SCOPE

Bureau Veritas has expanded its ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 accreditation scope 486-TEST for our Oil & Petrochemicals laboratory in Antwerp with a full Defstan 91-091 certification capability, including Lubricity Bocle ASTM D5001.

The achievement ensures our equipment, methods and quality control meet the highest standards set by the Belgian accreditation body BELAC. Our multi-million euro investment in Antwerp’s new state-of-the-art expansion ensures that our clients receive the service they need within a very competitive and dynamic market.


The Antwerp facility is also able to test Sustainable Aviation Fuel #SAF as per ASTM D7566-19 to support the decarbonization of the aviation industry. With the inclusion of ASTM and IP testings to our current ISO technical scope, our newly accredited services include:

  • EN 590
  • EN 228
  • ISO 8217
  • EN12591

The facility can certify and test up to 95 methods under ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 accreditation requirements, as can be found in BELAC scope 486-TEST.
